Great to meet you!

I am a Colombian immigrant, and a retired Army Social Worker.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology from New York University, and my Master of Social Work degree through the Army-Fayetteville State University MSW Program. After leaving the Army on a medical retirement, I decided to being private practice and established Equinox Counseling Solutions, PLLC.

I have over 15 years experience working in this field, mainly focusing in trauma work and traumatic event management.

My approach to therapy

I believe that a single approach doesn’t fit everyone. Each person is at a different point in their journey, and my job is to help them along the process. I will adjust treatment modalities and direction based on the feedback I receive. This is a collaborative process, and treatment plans are constantly evaluated and adjusted to meet the needs of the client.

What you can expect from me

I am direct and transparent. Even if we only meet for a consultation, I always strive to make that interaction one you can get something out of. I know therapy is not an easy step to take, and an even more difficult path to continue, so I hope to leave something useful for everyone I interact with.
