Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with 18 years of experience helping adults with trauma and PTSD, substance use and recovery, co-occurring mental health concerns, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I now offer IN-PERSON APPOINTMENTS in Goodyear, Arizona, serving the West Valley, as well as virtual therapy throughout Arizona, Wisconsin, Colorado, Michigan, Florida, and New Jersey.

I believe meaningful change is possible, even when you have been struggling for a long time or aren’t quite sure where to begin. My approach is compassionate, direct, and collaborative. I provide a nonjudgmental space where you can talk openly about what is happening while we identify patterns, strengthen coping skills, and take practical steps toward greater stability and healing.

Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. I tailor treatment to your individual needs, goals, strengths, and readiness for change. Whether you are working through past trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, concerned about substance use, maintaining recovery, or navigating a difficult life transition, we will work together to determine what will be most helpful for you.

I have extensive experience in substance use, addiction, and recovery and am trained in EMDR through the Francine Shapiro EMDR Institute. My work is trauma-informed and integrates evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and other individualized interventions.

Above all, I value authentic human connection. You can expect a therapist who will listen, meet you where you are, and work alongside you toward meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe effective therapy begins with a genuine connection and a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. I will meet you where you are while also helping you move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable.

I draw from trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, parts-based work, and somatic strategies. Rather than relying on one method, I tailor our work to your needs, goals, and what is happening in your life right now.

My style is compassionate but also active and practical. We may explore patterns and experiences that have shaped you, while also developing concrete tools to manage emotions, strengthen relationships, support recovery, and navigate difficult situations differently.

I believe therapy should help you better understand yourself while also creating changes you can carry into your everyday life. You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning—we can start exactly where you are.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about what you have been experiencing, what feels most important to address, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together.

You do not need to tell your entire story in the first session. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable, and I will work to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can be honest about what is going on in your life.

We will also begin identifying your strengths, current challenges, and initial goals for therapy. Together, we’ll discuss what approaches may be most helpful for you and begin developing a plan that is personalized to your needs.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we can begin.
