Great to meet you!

With more than 25 years of clinical experience, I help adults navigate life's transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, loss, and questions about what comes next on your life path. My understanding of people comes not only from professional training but also from living a full life—with its joys, disappointments, relationships, losses, questions, and unexpected turns.

Many of the people who seek me out are at a crossroads. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, divorce, grief, caregiving responsibilities, employment and career issues, retirement, questions about identity, LGBTIQQ+, a sense that something in life no longer fits, or simply questions of meaning and purpose. My approach is thoughtful, conversational, and deeply respectful of each person's unique story. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I am interested in understanding the larger context of your life—your relationships, values, hopes, disappointments, strengths, and the patterns that have shaped you.

My approach to therapy

Clients often tell me they appreciate having a place where they can talk openly without feeling judged or rushed. Together, we work to better understand what is happening, identify new possibilities, and help you move toward a life that feels more authentic, meaningful, and satisfying.

What you can expect from me

I am also the author of PRESENCE: Recognizing the Divine in Your Everyday Life, a book that grew out of my longstanding interest in how people find meaning, connection, and purpose amid the ordinary events of everyday living.

My graduate training includes pastoral counseling, and for clients who wish to explore spiritual questions, I welcome those conversations. At the same time, many of my clients are not religious, and spirituality is never assumed or imposed. My focus is always on what is most important and meaningful to you. I also have experience in large corporate management as an instructional designer, Federal government agency as an EAP counselor, and small agricultural business as an entrepreneurial owner.

I welcome adults from diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and life experiences and strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore challenges, discover strengths, and move toward the life you want to create.
