Great to meet you!

Mental health care should feel structured, intentional, and empowering — not rushed or transactional. With over 12 years of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I approach treatment as a partnership rooted in clarity, strategy, and trust.

Before entering advanced practice, I served 25 years on active duty in the United States Air Force and Army. That experience shaped how I understand stress, trauma, leadership pressure, grief, resilience, and the complexity of human behavior under strain. Today, I bring that depth of perspective into my clinical work with patients from all walks of life — not just those with military backgrounds.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults via telehealth to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and thoughtful medication management. My style is calm, direct, and solutions-focused. I believe patients deserve to understand why a diagnosis fits, why a medication is recommended, and what realistic outcomes truly look like.

I treat a wide spectrum of conditions, including ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, complex PTSD, psychotic spectrum disorders, mood instability, and grief-related concerns. Many of the individuals I work with are navigating layered or longstanding challenges that require careful assessment and a steady approach.

My approach to therapy

My role is not simply to prescribe. It is to reduce feelings of being overwhelmed, bring structure to what feels chaotic, and help you understand your mind in a way that creates sustainable progress.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about mutual understanding.

We’ll talk through what’s bringing you in, your history, and what you’ve already tried. I ask thoughtful questions so I can understand not just your symptoms, but the bigger picture — your stressors, strengths, and goals.

My style is calm, direct, and supportive. I want you to leave our first meeting feeling clearer than when you arrived. If a diagnosis is appropriate, I’ll explain it in a way that makes sense. If medication is recommended, we’ll discuss the reasons, expectations, and options together so you feel informed and comfortable with the plan.

By the end of the session, we’ll identify practical next steps and realistic goals — whether that’s symptom relief, improved focus, mood stability, or simply feeling more in control.

Above all, our work is collaborative. You bring your lived experience. I bring clinical expertise and steady guidance. Together, we create a path forward that feels manageable and intentional.
