Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping people navigate life's most difficult and meaningful moments. I earned my Master of Social Work from University of Michigan. I specialize in working with veterans/military service members, first responders, and individual experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief, including the loss of a beloved pet or animal companion. My approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and trauma informed. with an emphasis on creating a space where you can feel understood without judgement. Together we will build on your strengths, make sense of what you're carrying, and work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I draw from evidence-based approaches while tailoring therapy to your individual needs, strengths, experiences, and goals. I am not a "I have a hammer, so you better have a nail" kind of therapist; therapy isn't one size fits all. I value authenticity, humor when it fits, and creating a space where you can be fully yourself while we work together to understand patterns and build practical coping skills. Therapy with me will be compassionate, honest, and supportive, but I will gently challenge you when it can help move toward the life you want.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and being talking about what brings you into therapy, and what you hope to get out of working together. I will ask questions about your experiences, concerns, strengths, and what is most important to you. There is no pressure to tell your entire story at once. I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself.
