Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin talking about what brought you to therapy. I will ask questions about your concerns, your experiences, and what you hope to gain from counseling, but there is no expectation that you share everything all at once.
My goal is to create a comfortable, respectful space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we will begin identifying what feels most important to address and discuss approaches that may be helpful for your specific needs. You can also ask questions about therapy, my approach, or anything that would help you feel more comfortable moving forward.
