Great to meet you!

I enjoy working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and with a wide array of presenting difficulties. I am person-centered and assist individuals with working towards their own personal goals. I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups to assist with the achievement of these goals. While I feel comfortable addressing any issue, I am always willing to refer to another provider if needed.

I have worked as a Social Worker, a Mobile Crisis Worker, an Intensive In-Home Team member and team lead, and an Outpatient Counselor. I have worked with sexual offenders and survivors, domestic violence offenders and survivors, substance abusers and their family members, individuals, couples, families, and groups.

My approach to therapy

I am integrative in my approach to counseling and will use the interventions that will be most effective to address each difficulty that is presented. I have training in play therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and a wide array of other orientations.

What you can expect from me

The first session can be a little difficult for some because I will need to ask a lot of questions to determine a diagnosis and present some treatment options to you. I will discuss treatments that are evidence based and present you with the benefits and the possible drawbacks to each treatment option. We will discuss the goals you would like to achieve, and you will determine the treatment option that is going to be best for you.
