Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Matt, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges and transitions. I work with individuals and couples managing depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, parenting struggles, relationship stress, addiction, and autism spectrum disorder (and more, see my list of specialties!)

Therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you’re not sure where to start—but taking that first step says a lot about your strength. I commend you for making the choice to search for help. My goal is to create a calm, welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. You don’t have to have everything figured out; we’ll take it one step at a time. I’ll meet you where you are and move at your pace, offering support and guidance as you work toward feeling more balanced, capable, and connected.

My approach to therapy

I take a person-centered, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy. That means our work together will focus on you—your goals, your story, and the changes you want to make. I believe real progress happens when you feel safe to explore what’s been weighing on you and supported in trying new ways of thinking and responding.

My style is laid-back, honest, and caring. I often blend techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Strength-Based Counseling to help you manage stress, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build practical tools for everyday life. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship issues, or life transitions, we’ll focus on finding what actually works for you.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity, and compassion, and I strive to help you build the confidence to trust your own voice and resilience again.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know one another and talk about what’s bringing you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your background, what’s been challenging lately, and what you’d like to achieve from our work together.

You can expect a space that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and easygoing—one where you can be open and honest without pressure. We’ll collaborate to create goals that feel meaningful and realistic, and I’ll help you identify small, doable steps to start creating change.

I see therapy as a partnership—one where you bring your insight, and I bring tools, empathy, and perspective. Together, we’ll work toward clarity, healing, and balance, at whatever pace feels right for you.
