Great to meet you!

Welcome! If you’re here, it means something in you is ready for change, even if part of you feels uncertain or tired. Beginning therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about having the courage to look honestly at your life and decide that you deserve something more aligned, more grounded, and more whole. You don’t need to have the right words. You don’t need a perfect plan. You only need a willingness to show up as you are. In this space, you’ll be met with empathy, respect, and a pace that honors your nervous system and your story.

As a licensed professional counselor I have extensive experience in outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings, I have honed my expertise in providing mental health care services to bring the best treatment available to the clients I serve. Throughout my career I have co-founded a telehealth behavioral health startup company and have held clinical leadership positions. Additionally, I have mentored clinicians, graduate-student interns, and created continuing education programs for the American Psychological Association and the National Association of Social Workers.

My clinical specialties include the treatment of complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), depression, and other stress-related and mood-related conditions. My primary clientele consists of individuals between the ages of 16 and 65.

I hold two master’s degrees, one in Addiction Counseling and another in Professional Mental Health Counseling. I am currently enrolled in a PhD in Psychology program with a focus on Technology (AI) and Learning. I actively contribute to writing articles and blogging on various topics, including psychopathology, innovative treatment approaches, self-care, spirituality, and mindfulness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy includes an integration of neuroscience and trauma- informed care. My therapy style is evidence based, this is to ensure you are receiving therapy that is proven to reduce symptoms and increase your quality of life. I utilize a blend of evidence-based practices that include narrative therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), and mindfulness, amongst others. All with the intention of reducing your symptoms, strengthening your relationships, and helping you to become the best version of yourself. My treatment approach is collaborative, and person centered, meaning your health and well-being are the most important aspects of each and every therapy session. I am culturally sensitive and make certain that we are measuring clear goals during and between sessions.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect to gain both hope and practical tools you can use right away, whether that’s calming your nervous system, easing anxiety, shifting unhelpful thoughts, or strengthening communication. We’ll set clear goals together and check in on your progress so you can see real changes over time. I’ll provide resources, structured practices, and ongoing support to help your progress carry over into daily life. As improvements take hold, we’ll create a simple maintenance plan that keeps you moving forward.
