Great to meet you!

If you have been feeling like your own mind is holding you back from the life you want to live, I'm here to help!

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 9 years of experience working with kids, teens, and adults in school, clinic, and private practice settings. I specialize in helping clients with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, OCD and ADHD gain the understanding and skills they need to make meaningful changes and engage with their lives more fully again.

Whether you are wondering for the first time if therapy can help you or your child, or if you have been through therapy before but still have changes you want to make, I look forward to supporting you on your journey!

My approach to therapy

I believe the basis of therapeutic change is the client-therapist relationship. My approach always begins with building an open, safe, and supportive environment that allows you to engage fully and authentically with therapy. From there, we will create a personalized plan to help you meet your individual goals.

I draw from several evidence-based approaches, and often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), relaxation training and behavioral strategies.

I also use more targeted techniques to focus on specific issues, such as Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT) for PTSD, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, and play therapy techniques when working with children.

I will always explain approaches to you and welcome feedback and questions. Therapy is for you and I always want it to be a collaborative process.

What you can expect from me

During our first meeting, we will talk about what brings you to therapy, review your history, and go over any questions you have about the therapeutic process.

Then, we'll explore and clarify the changes you would like to see over the course of therapy and work together to come up with a plan to help bring about those changes.

I understand that starting therapy is a big step, and we will work at a pace you are comfortable with as we get to know each other and plan a therapeutic journey that will lead to the changes you want to see in your life.
