Great to meet you!

I approach therapy as a real, human conversation grounded in care, honesty, and respect. I believe people come to therapy for many reasons, including stress, relationship pain, trauma, identity concerns, life transitions, grief, anxiety, or simply wanting to understand themselves more deeply. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to reflect, and challenged enough to grow.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chaminade University of Honolulu. My professional background includes working with individuals, couples, families, military service members, veterans, and diverse communities navigating relationship conflict, emotional disconnection, trauma, cultural identity, intimacy concerns, and major life changes. I bring a relational, trauma-informed, and culturally aware lens to therapy, helping clients better understand their patterns, strengthen their relationships, and move toward a more grounded and connected life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and grounded in compassion, honesty, and practical change. I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel safe enough to speak openly, while also feeling supported in looking at the patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be keeping them stuck. I work with clients to slow things down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and build healthier ways of responding to themselves, others, and the challenges in their lives.

I

use a systemic and trauma-informed lens, which means I consider how relationships, family history, culture, identity, stress, and lived experiences shape how people cope and connect. My style is warm, engaged, and direct. I often draw from emotionally focused therapy, attachment-based work, cognitive behavioral approaches, mindfulness, and relational therapy to help clients improve communication, strengthen emotional awareness, reduce distress, and create more meaningful connection in their lives.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a calm, supportive conversation focused on getting to know you, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope will be different. I will ask questions about your current concerns, important relationships, life stressors, background, strengths, and any patterns you have noticed in yourself or your relationships. You do not have to have everything figured out before starting. The first session is about helping us understand where you are and what kind of support would be most helpful.

My goal is to create a space that feels respectful, honest, and collaborative. We will begin identifying your goals, discussing what therapy may look like, and making sure the process feels like a good fit for your needs. I want clients to leave the first session feeling heard, more grounded, and with a clearer sense of the direction we can begin working toward together.
