Great to meet you!

I bring warmth, authenticity, and a calm, steady presence to the therapeutic relationship. While my focus is on children and teens, I also support adults who are navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, and major life changes.

I’m intentional about creating a space where clients of all ages feel understood and supported. While working with children and teens, I work to build trust through patience, playfulness, and developmentally appropriate communication. For adults, I offer a grounded, collaborative environment where they can explore challenges openly and at their own pace. Parents often share that they appreciate my ability to connect with their child while also offering clear communication, guidance, and compassion throughout the process.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and developmentally sensitive. I primarily work with children and adolescents experiencing trauma, anxiety, adjustment challenges, and behavioral concerns. I integrate play therapy as a foundational modality, allowing children to express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. While working with teens and adults, I combine expressive techniques with evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral strategies, skill-building interventions, and family-systems perspectives when appropriate.

I tailor my approach to each individual’s developmental stage, needs, and goals. Whether working with a child learning emotional regulation, a teen processing complex experiences, or an adult navigating stress or transition, my focus remains on helping you build insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop resilience. I believe therapy should be collaborative, empowering, and supportive of the whole person—and, when relevant, the whole family.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you (or your child) feel comfortable sharing what’s going on. For children and teens, this may involve a mix of conversation, play, and activities that help me understand how they experience and express their emotions. For adults, we’ll focus on your concerns, goals, and what you hope to get out of therapy.

I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and strengths, and I’ll explain how I work so you know what to expect moving forward. Together, we’ll start to build trust and establish a plan tailored to your needs. By the end of the session, clients usually have a sense of the therapeutic process, a clear understanding of next steps, and a feeling that their experiences are being heard and understood.
