Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m McKalah! I enjoy working with clients of all ages, especially those who may feel a little unsure or apprehensive about therapy. I believe therapy should be a collaborative experience where you feel heard, respected, and supported as you navigate life’s transitions and challenges. My goal is to help you better understand your thoughts and feelings, build useful skills, and find solutions that work for you. Together, we’ll focus on self-exploration, resilience, and creating positive, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and direct. I’m not afraid to challenge you when I notice patterns, thoughts, or behaviors that may be affecting you, while still creating a space where you feel heard and respected. We’ll work together to better understand your experiences, develop practical skills, and explore healthier ways of thinking and responding. My goal is to provide honest guidance and support while helping you make meaningful changes in your life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to better understand your experiences, concerns, and what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask a lot of questions and give you space to talk through your thoughts and experiences in a way you may not often get the opportunity to do. Sometimes, simply hearing yourself think out loud can bring new awareness and understanding. From there, we’ll begin identifying what you want to work on and how I can best support you.
