Great to meet you!

Meagan is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She has lived in North Carolina the majority of her life and considers Raleigh home. She attributes her passion for family work to one of her first jobs- working as an aide for children diagnosed with autism. Through observations in this setting, Meagan saw the direct influence of the family system on her client and became passionate about adjusting treatment goals to increase understanding of all family members.

My approach to therapy

Meagan approaches counseling through a client-led, integrative perspective. She has experience utilizing the evidence-based practices: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), structural family therapy and family systems theory. She also utilizes techniques from solution-focused therapy and emotion-focused therapy.

What you can expect from me

Meagan believes that all clients are unique and her experience utilizing different models allows her to tailor therapy to client’s specific needs. It is her goal to provide a safe, welcoming and non-judgmental space for clients and families to grow. Meagan believes relationship is one of the most important aspect to the therapy process and understands finding the right therapist is a very personal decision- she would consider it a privilege to support you on the path to meaningful change.
