Great to meet you!

Hi there! I'm Megan, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon with seven years of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, mood concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I also have a particular interest in supporting women during the perinatal period and the emotional transitions that can come with pregnancy, postpartum, and becoming a parent.

I hold an M.A. in Community Psychology from Concordia University Portland, along with master’s-level counseling credentials from Capella University. My goal is to create a therapy space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel both supported and empowered to better understand yourself.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own experience. I work at a pace that feels manageable while also helping you look beneath the surface of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to understand the patterns contributing to what you’re experiencing.

I draw from attachment-based therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic and nervous-system-informed approaches, CBT, DBT-informed skills, and Narrative Therapy.

Depending on your needs, therapy may include deeper exploration of emotions and relationships alongside practical tools for managing anxiety, regulating your nervous system, and navigating everyday challenges.

I aim to offer a balance of warmth, curiosity, and gentle directness. My role isn’t to “fix” you, but to help you develop greater self-understanding, build on your strengths, and create meaningful change in your life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to slow down, get to know each other, and begin making sense of what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what feels most difficult right now, and what you hope will be different through therapy.

I’ll ask questions to understand the bigger picture, including relevant life experiences, relationships, stressors, patterns, and strengths. We’ll begin identifying a few priorities for our work together, but there is no expectation that you arrive with everything figured out.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and more clear about where we can begin. From there, we’ll work together to develop goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you.
