Great to meet you!

Maybe you’re carrying trauma, anxiety, or depression, or you’re in the middle of a hard relationship or a big life change and aren’t sure how to move forward. I work with adults in exactly those places, and I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not a script. As an EMDRIA Certified therapist, trauma work is a central part of my practice. I also offer faith-integrated care for clients who want their beliefs included in therapy, and I’m just as comfortable working with clients who don’t. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling understood, encouraged, and equipped with practical tools you can use in your everyday life.

My approach to therapy

Before real change can happen, you need to feel seen, and to know you’re not broken, beyond repair, or powerless. My approach is warm and direct. I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person, no matter what life you’ve lived. I also believe growth takes ownership and choice, so I won’t just tell you what you want to hear. I’ll walk alongside you, be honest with you, and help you take steps that actually move your life forward. I draw on proven methods like EMDR, CBT, and solution-focused therapy (SFBT), tailored to what you need. For clients who want it, I can also integrate faith or spirituality into our work.

What you can expect from me

Walking into a first session can feel uncomfortable, and you don’t need the right words or a clear plan to start. Our first session is mostly about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what’s been going on in your life, and what you’d like to be different. I’ll ask some background questions so I understand the bigger picture, and you’re welcome to ask me anything about how I work. If you’d like faith included in your care, we can talk about what that looks like for you. By the end, we’ll have a starting sense of your goals and a plan for how we’ll approach them together.
