Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Megan. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor with over four and a half years of professional counseling experience. I have a M.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University and a B.S in Psychology from Appalachian State University. Outside of counseling I love baking, cooking, plants, live music, running, swimming, and rowing!

My approach to therapy

You are resilient, resourceful, and possess a number of strengths that have helped you navigate difficult circumstances throughout your life. I am here to help you recognize these strengths and empower you to make the changes you may be struggling to make now. My approach is warm, person-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused. You and I will identify goals for our work together to focus on what you are able to control and change to improve your functioning. I provide solution-focused brief therapy services and typically work with clients for 12-16 sessions.

What you can expect from me

In our initial session I will focus primarily on getting to know you, further exploring your current concerns, and building rapport. We will collaboratively identify specific, achievable goals for our work together to help you make tangible changes in your life.
