Great to meet you!

I come to this work with over 20 years of experience in the human services field, working in public education from kindergarten through college, and as an outpatient therapist with individuals and families. My academic credentials include an MSW with a clinical focus, an MEd in teaching and learning, an advanced graduate certificate in inclusion education, and a BA in psychology. My approach to therapy includes a relational framework and cognitive behavioral strategies. I have advanced training in motivational interviewing and family systems. I thrive at creating a space that feels supportive, authentic, and approachable.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is, at its heart, a relationship. I strive to create a warm, genuine, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and exploring what’s going on beneath the surface. As an LCSW, I work collaboratively with clients to better understand the experiences and relationships that have shaped them, as well as the patterns that may no longer be serving them.

I see you as the expert on your own experience, and I’m here to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and honesty. Together, we can make space for what feels difficult, strengthen your connection with yourself and others, and work toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and see if we feel like a good fit. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what you’d like to be different. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background and current experiences, and we can begin thinking together about goals for our work.

Most importantly, you don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. We can take our time, start wherever feels most comfortable, and see where the conversation takes us.
