Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a particular focus on military and family systems, relationship and couples work, maternal mental health, and domestic violence recovery. I serve the coastal North Carolina community — including military families navigating the unique stressors of service life — with 56 active clients and a practice built on genuine connection and practical results.

My approach is collaborative and direct. I recognize that insight alone is not always enough; meaningful change often comes from learning how to apply that insight in everyday life. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is both compassionate and honest — meeting clients where they are without judgment while also challenging them when they're ready to grow.

I trained at the University of Southern California and bring an integrative toolkit: Gottman Method couples therapy, CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, MBCT, and Solution-Focused approaches.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest without having to perform, defend, or have everything figured out.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. I want clients to feel genuinely heard and understood, but I also believe effective therapy sometimes requires gently challenging the stories, patterns, and behaviors that keep us stuck. I see therapy as a process of working alongside you to understand what's happening beneath the surface and identify what you want to do differently moving forward.

I believe in making therapy practical. Insight matters, but so does knowing what to do with that insight when you leave the therapy room. For couples, I draw on the Gottman Method and Solution-Focused Couples Therapy to address the communication cycles driving disconnection. For trauma and PTSD, I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Trauma-Focused CBT — including Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD when trauma is affecting a relationship. MBCT builds the mindfulness and regulation skills that make everything else stick.

Most importantly: we can acknowledge what happened, recognize how it shaped you, and still make room for the possibility that your future does not have to look the same.

What you can expect from me

Therapy isn't about becoming someone you're not. It's about becoming more intentional about the person and life you want to build.

In our first session, you can expect a warm conversation focused on getting to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what's felt most difficult, and what you're hoping changes. There's no pressure to have everything sorted before we start.

By the end, you'll have a clearer sense of how I work and we'll begin mapping out what the work will look like for you.
