My approach to therapy

Life can feel overwhelming, especially when anxiety, trauma, and stress or life transitions leave you feeling stuck. I believe that every person has their own innate light to self-healing but may need some support along the way. I find it a great privilege to walk with clients on the personal journey of healing. I work primarily with adults navigating anxiety disorders, trauma, and identity exploration. I'm especially passionate about creating an affirming space for LGBTQ+ clients and people who have often felt misunderstood, different or pressured to fit expectations that are not authentic to them.

What you can expect from me

Through traditional therapy, meditation, body awareness, breathing exercises, art, play, and EFT we begin the process of healing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and emotional distress. "My goal is for every client to end a session feeling more empowered and at ease than at the session prior". Megan uses an integrative counseling approach including, person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, feminist, emotional freedom technique, and motivational Interviewing.
