Great to meet you!

I became a therapist because I needed one like me. Growing up with complex, enduring trauma, I often felt unseen and unsupported in therapy. That experience shaped my mission: to show up as the provider I once searched for.

After earning my MSW from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2018, I began in private practice with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety and mood disorders. Over the past six years, I’ve specialized in trauma treatment — training in EMDR, IFS, DBT, attachment, and polyvagal theory, while working across outpatient and inpatient settings. I became a Certified Trauma Professional (CPT) in 2022 and advanced to Certified Complex Trauma Professional Two (CCPT-II) to deepen my expertise.

My approach to therapy

I help people sort through the complexity of traumatic stress and its many companions: substance use, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, grief, depression, anxiety, mood swings, irritability, and impulsivity.

My style is collaborative, creative, and direct, while always maintaining compassion and empathy. I use an integrative approach, blending EMDR, IFS, DBT, and somatic skills with art, imagery, and writing when it helps the work come alive. Trauma therapy with me moves like a pendulum: leaning into the hard truths, then back to safety and stability, always at a pace that honors where you are without overwhelming you.

At the heart of my practice is a belief that change is always possible. No matter when or where you begin, you carry the capacity to build a more satisfying and balanced life.

What you can expect from me

Clients describe me as “real and funny,” someone who doesn’t push until they’re ready — yet helps them make progress they never thought possible.

In our sessions you can expect:

  • A safe, compassionate space where honesty is welcomed and judgment isn’t
  • The chance to take risks, knowing I’ll support you every step
  • Practical skills for coping with trauma symptoms and triggers
  • Tools to strengthen relationships and intimacy
  • A process that helps separate old trauma cues from real-time threats
  • Space to loosen the grip of perfectionism and negative self-beliefs

I believe therapy should feel human. Sometimes that means leaning into hard emotions; sometimes it means finding a moment of laughter in the middle of the storm. Above all, it means walking with you toward progress, authenticity, and a life that feels truly your own.
