Great to meet you!

I'm Meghan Keating, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who provides individual therapy for adolescents and adults ages 12 and older. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota Duluth and have experience supporting individuals navigating grief and loss, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, ADHD, and emotional overwhelm. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other trauma-informed interventions. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported as they process difficult experiences, develop effective coping skills, strengthen self-understanding, and move toward meaningful and lasting change. I have a particular passion for helping individuals navigate grief and loss, recognizing that every person's experience is unique and deserving of individualized care and support.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. I believe that meaningful change occurs when individuals feel safe, heard, and supported, so I strive to create a nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other trauma-informed interventions. While I work with a variety of concerns, I have particular experience supporting individuals navigating grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. My goal is to help clients develop practical coping skills, gain insight into patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and build a life that feels aligned with their values and goals.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment focused on getting to know them and understanding what brings them to therapy. We will discuss current concerns, relevant personal history, strengths, and goals for treatment. I recognize that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, so I move at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for each individual. The first session is also an opportunity for clients to ask questions, learn about my therapeutic approach, and determine whether we are a good fit. Together, we will begin identifying goals for therapy and developing a plan that supports meaningful growth, healing, and long-term well-being. My priority is ensuring that clients leave the session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the therapeutic process.
