Great to meet you!

I've been practicing as a licensed therapist since 2021 and hold a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Baltimore. My background is rooted in psychodynamic and person-centered approaches, and I've worked with individuals across the lifespan, from young children to older adults.

I'm a self-identified geek, and my enthusiasm for all things nerdy definitely finds its way into my work. I enjoy TTRPGs, board games, video games, anime, and anything fantasy or sci fi related. Please tell me about your Warhammer Collection or how you cried during Astarion's monologue in Baldur's Gate 3, I'm here for it all. I greatly value the interests, passions, and stories that make each of us uniquely ourselves.

Above all, I believe in showing up authentically and meeting people with curiosity, compassion, and acceptance.

My approach to therapy

I recognize that being human can be complicated, and I strive to create a space where you don't have to hide or minimize yourself.

I am a human being helping other human beings! I bring my authentic and professional self into the therapeutic space so that you can feel safe bringing your whole self, too.

My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist provides the foundation for meaningful therapeutic work. When we feel genuinely seen and accepted, we can begin to explore the parts of ourselves that may have otherwise felt too big to explore alone.

Drawing from psychodynamic and person-centered perspectives, I work collaboratively with clients to explore their relationships with themselves and others, the patterns that emerge throughout their lives, and the stories they tell themselves about who they are and the world around them. Through this process, I hope to help clients develop greater self-awareness, authenticity, and discernment in how they understand themselves and navigate their lives.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is primarily an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another.

We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping to gain from our time together, and some of the experiences that have shaped who you are. I'll ask questions to better understand you and your circumstances, but there's no expectation that you share everything right away.

I recognize that opening up to someone new can feel vulnerable, and I don't expect trust to develop overnight. My priority is to begin creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and accepted. We can take the time needed to build that relationship and allow the deeper exploratory work to develop naturally.
