Great to meet you!

Hi! I am Melissa. I am a graduate of Liberty University. I have a Masters in Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Masters in Crisis and Trauma counseling.

I am currently working to be credentialed in EMDR.

I am a Licensed in both North and South Carolina. I work virtually in order to make counseling more accessible to you.

Many of my clients are struggling to make sense of complex challenges they are currently facing, whether from past or present trauma. I utilize EMDR, DBT and CBT to help clients manage mental and emotional challenges that arise throughout life. I work with teens and adults who are struggling with trauma, grief, anxiety, relational issues and depression. I also frequently work with people who are struggling to reconcile their faith in the midst of their suffering.

I am a Christian Counselor,

No matter what you are facing, I am here to be present with you, listen and walk along side you through life's messy challenges. There is nothing you can bring to the table that will shock me. I don't want to put a quick band aid on a deeper issue. I want to work with you to discover the root of your various challenges & create a plan that leads to a healing that lasts.

My approach to therapy

I utilize EMDR, DBT and CBT with a person centered approach. I believe that no matter how similar your story may be to another, circumstances impact each of us on an individual level.

What you can expect from me

In our initial session I will go over paperwork, history, background and explore any extenuating circumstances.
