Great to meet you!

I am here to listen. We all face mental health challenges at some point in our lives, and sometimes we need help reaching the other side of them. My path to this work has been a long one: I served as a first responder for 10 years and then spent more than 25 years as an emergency room nurse, with the past decade focused specifically on psychiatry in the ER. In those settings, I met people during some of the hardest moments of their lives, and I learned how much of a difference it makes to feel truly heard. Now, as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I bring that same steadiness and compassion to helping you achieve your goals. If you have found me, chances are you have already tried everything you know and nothing has worked yet. That takes courage, and it tells me you are exactly the kind of person I can help.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and rooted in genuine conversation. Whether you simply need to talk something through or you are looking for medication management, I can help, and often the best results come from combining both. I take the time to understand your full story so that we can find the solution that actually fits your life rather than a one-size-fits-all answer. In more than 25 years of caring for people, what I have found is that the person who takes the first step to help themselves is the most successful. Showing up for yourself is that first step, and from there, I will guide and support you every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

We will talk openly about what brought you here, what you have already tried, and what you are hoping to change. I will listen closely, ask questions to understand what is really going on, and begin working with you to shape a plan that may include talk-based support, medication management, or both. You do not need to have everything figured out before you arrive; showing up is enough. My goal is for you to leave that first meeting feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, knowing you have a partner who will be with you at every step you take.
