Melvin Herst

Hello and thank you for visiting my profile. I am a marriage and family therapist, licensed since 2009. My work history includes working with individuals in various setting both in the public and private sector. My approach is collaborative. I hope to work with you to make sense of your experiences and to better understand the meaning of them and how they influence you now. It is my hope that our work together can better inform the direction you would like to proceed in your life. I currently enjoy working with individuals and have a hybrid practice, working both online and in my office in Encino.

I am a relationship oriented therapist. I hope to help others develop better relationships with themselves and others. My aim is to help individuals develop self-awareness, gain insight into their inner life and make lasting changes that compliment their daily experiences. It is the belief that self-awareness may influence one's perspective and broadening their understanding of their current situation. It is a valuable approach for those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their emotional struggles.
