Great to meet you!

Memphis Sandoval is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner who brings both clinical expertise and heartfelt compassion to her work. With experience spanning the full lifespan. Memphis is dedicated to meeting individuals wherever they are on their mental health journey. She has advanced training and experience in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs). She offers compassionate, evidence-based perinatal mental health care with a focus on thoughtful medication management before, during, and after pregnancy. Our approach centers on supporting brain health while honoring each individual’s values, experiences, and concerns.

My approach to therapy

At the core of her practice is a commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued. She views seeking mental health care as a courageous step and honors that bravery by offering care that is empathetic, personalized, and rooted in respect.

What you can expect from me

Memphis's approach to diagnosing mental health conditions is a thoughtful and comprehensive process. It involves understanding a person’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and daily functioning through open clinical conversations, evidence-based screening tools, and established diagnostic guidelines such as the DSM-5.

She carefully considers medical and mental health history, current symptoms, how long they have been present, and how they affect everyday life in order to arrive at an accurate and meaningful diagnosis. Compassionate diagnosis of mental health disorders involves building trust, actively listening without judgment, showing empathy, and respecting the individual's lived experience. It means creating a safe, supportive space where the person feels heard and involved in their care, avoiding labels that stigmatize, and focusing on strengths and recovery—not just symptoms.
