I work with all teens through adults struggling with life cycle changes, role obligations, school/work transitions, anxiety, depression, family issues, performance anxiety, communication struggles, emotional regulation, self-esteem, or anger management. I am also am apart of, and I am passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ population and addressing concerns specific to that population

I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2018.

My approach to therapy

I am an eclectic therapist and use diverse modalities and holistic wellness some of which include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Laughing Yoga, Expressive Arts, and Art Therapy informed. I incorporate holistic wellness and coping skills into sessions to make sure we are addressing the whole mind, body, and spirit.

After our first session you can expect to feel empowered, relaxed, and ready to take action steps towards your personal goals. According to the Strengths Based model, I know you have inherent dignity, worth, and all the strengths to be successful, in your terms, in life. I believe that you are the expert on you and that I am here to facilitate, gently coach, and collaborate to make the lasting changes you want in your life. Therapy with me is in a warm, empathetic, and open environment!
