Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Dr. Meredith A. Okwesili, a double board-certified psychiatrist in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and founder of Madora Psychiatry PLLC. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and the pressures of everyday life. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to you—I focus on helping you feel heard while creating a treatment plan that is both practical and effective.

With experience across diverse clinical settings, including telehealth, I aim to make mental health care feel approachable, clear, and supportive. Whether you’re starting care for the first time or returning for continued support, my goal is to help you feel more like yourself again.

My approach to therapy

Board-certified psychiatrist with over 13 years of clinical training, including residency and fellowship, bringing both depth and perspective to patient care at Madora Psychiatry PLLC. My approach to care is collaborative, personalized, and grounded in a clear understanding of your symptoms and goals. I specialize in thoughtful medication management, taking the time to carefully assess what’s working, what’s not, and how to move forward in a way that feels both effective and manageable for you.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and stress-related concerns, and I focus on creating treatment plans that are practical, streamlined, and aligned with your day-to-day life. While medication is often a key part of treatment, I also provide guidance and support to help you better understand your mental health and make informed decisions about your care.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and confident in your treatment so you can experience real improvement, not just temporary relief.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a thorough and thoughtful evaluation focused on understanding your current concerns, symptoms, and overall mental health history. I’ll ask targeted questions to get a clear picture of what you’ve been experiencing and what you’d like to improve.

We’ll discuss your goals for treatment and begin outlining a plan, which may include medication options if appropriate. I’ll walk you through recommendations, answer your questions, and make sure you feel informed and comfortable with next steps.

My goal is for you to leave the first session with greater clarity, a sense of direction, and a treatment plan that feels both practical and achievable. I aim to create a calm, respectful space where you feel heard without judgment.
