My approach to therapy

I take an integrative approach to therapy, combining psychodynamic, narrative, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and feminist theories to support your healing and growth. Through psychodynamic therapy, we explore how past experiences shape your current thoughts and behaviors. Narrative therapy empowers you to reframe your personal story and regain control. With a trauma-informed approach, we create a safe space to process difficult experiences at your own pace. TFCBT focuses on addressing and transforming trauma-related thoughts and behaviors, helping you build resilience. Lastly, feminist principles ensure we emphasizing empowerment and equality. These methods together provide a inclusive and compassionate way to assist you in understanding and overcoming your life's challenges.

After working with me, I am hopeful that you leave sessions with a deeper understanding of yourself and your unique challenges. I have optimism that you gain tools to manage stress, anxiety, depression and any overwhelming emotions, and develop healthier patterns in your relationships—whether with family, friends, romantic partners and/or your children.
