Great to meet you!

I am able to help all range of mental health issues.

I am an experienced counselor who can help learn coping skills to reduce the impact on your daily life of issues that are causing you distress. I can help you resolve your trauma, anxiety, addictions, chronic pain, and depression through EMDR, A.R.T. or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy methods.

I personally have struggled with issues affecting my life. From childhood trauma, a life of bad decisions, living in pain to addiction to cope with them. With help I was able to overcome these issues. That gave me the desire to help people as I know how hard it is to move past these and have a fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

I use three evidence-based approaches, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I choose which to use based on what you actually need, not a formula. EMDR and ART are particularly effective for trauma, PTSD, and addiction because they work at the neurological level: they help the brain reprocess painful memories and patterns rather than just talk around them. CBT helps with the thought patterns that keep anxiety, depression, and ADHD cycles going. I don't believe therapy has to be slow or indefinite, the goal is measurable progress you can feel in your daily life.

What you can expect from me

Expect a real conversation, no clipboard, no scripted intake process. I want to understand what's going on in your life, what's tried-and-failed before, and what you're actually hoping to change. You don't have to have it organized or figured out. By the end of our first session, we'll have a clear picture of where we're starting and a realistic sense of what the path forward looks like. Most people tell me they feel heard in a way they didn't expect, because I'm not just listening as a clinician, I'm listening as someone who understands the terrain from the inside.
