Great to meet you!

Taking that initial step into therapy can be daunting. Sharing your story is a vulnerable position no doubt, and I am proud of you for even making the decision to seek help. Because I know how much courage this takes, I absolutely promise to honor you and walk alongside of you as you work towards your goals in counseling. In addition to helping individuals with anxiety and depression, I am certified in dialectical behavior therapy and practice accelerated resolution therapy. I also incorporate christian counseling, sand-tray therapy, mindfulness based-therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and incorporate narrative therapy techniques.

My approach to therapy

You may have heard the saying, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." I want every client of mine to feel this in our sessions. My first priority is for you to feel seen, heard, and validated. It is also a goal of mine to find the balance between validation and change when working with you. No matter what is occurring in your life, it is my honor to listen to your story, graciously help you find the blind spots, push you towards your goals, and find healing.

What you can expect from me

The first session of therapy will be dedicated to hearing your story and discussing the goals of therapy. It can be daunting sharing all these details about yourself with someone for the first time, so I will do my very best to create an environment where you feel safe to do so. I believe the more I know your background, the more effective we can be in identifying problem areas and developing appropriate treatment approaches. After this initial session, we will begin working towards your goals.
