I have been able to build my approach through my experience as a case manager and my work with clients who have experienced trauma. I have a clinical license in Florida and Michigan. I obtained my bachelor's degree from U of D Mercy and my master's from Wanye State University. I also have a certificate as an addiction counselor (CAADC). I have experience treating various types of addictions i.e. substances, sex, gambling.
I have found that when addressing anxiety, depression and addiction it is important to identify the triggers and gain insight as to how they affect you. I believe that we can benefit from recognizing how our negative self-talk and thoughts can limit our potential.
In our first session I will provide an introduction as to who I am and my experience as a therapist. I will also have specific questions to ask of you in order to help get to know who you are and what you are currently experiencing.
