Great to meet you!

Welcome, I’m genuinely glad you reached out. Many people come to care feeling rushed or unseen in a system that has grown increasingly impersonal. My goal is to offer something steadier: a calm, respectful space where you’re heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

Before entering psychiatric practice, I took on the challenge of building health and wellness programs early in my career. After serving in the military and losing the first gym my brother and I started in California, I helped create and develop what eventually became 24-Hour Fitness Worldwide. Over the years, I’ve coached people through significant life and health changes, individually, in groups, through teaching, and during a two-year stretch contributing to wellness segments on a CBS affiliate. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from very different walks of life, from public-facing professionals managing intense pressure and visibility to people navigating private struggles that left them feeling overlooked or alone. Those experiences shaped a belief that still guides my work today: lasting change happens when people feel safe, understood, and supported with clear direction.

In psychiatry, I bring that same steady, practical approach. I work with adults and young adults navigating:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • stress, burnout
  • grief
  • panic
  • attention and focus concerns
  • sleep issues
  • major life transitions: related to work, school, and shifting responsibilities.

I take time to understand not only what you’re experiencing day to day, but also who you are, what matters to you, and where you want your life to go. My focus is on the whole person, not just the symptoms, so you can regain clarity, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with your own power and potential.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, collaborative, and built around the specific needs of each person I work with. I use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused strategies. I also incorporate lifestyle-focused mental health practices that support sleep, attention, stress resilience, and long-term emotional balance. When medication is appropriate, we approach it thoughtfully, never as a quick fix, but as one part of a comprehensive plan.

I don’t see clients as diagnoses or a list of symptoms. I work with people, often high performers, caregivers, and professionals, who want clarity, stability, and meaningful change. Together, we’ll identify what you’re experiencing, what matters most to you, and what’s getting in the way. From there, we build a plan aligned with your values, goals, and daily realities, helping you move toward a more grounded, confident, and sustainable way of living.

What you can expect from me

You can expect our work together to be focused, honest, and practical. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’re experiencing day to day, and what you want your life to feel like going forward. I’ll help you make sense of what’s been happening and offer early tools or strategies you can begin using right away.

Clients often describe feeling more clear, capable, and grounded after we meet, like they finally have someone in their corner who understands their pressures and knows how to help them move forward. My goal is to provide direction, not overwhelm; clarity, not confusion.

Each session is grounded in helping you feel more steady, supported, and capable. You are not your diagnosis, what you’re experiencing is something your brain and body have been carrying. Together, we strengthen the skills and patterns that help you take back more control over your emotions, reactions, and daily life. As we separate who you are from what you’re going through, you can begin to feel more confident, more in control, and more like yourself again, whether you’re rebuilding, refining, or simply trying to feel more grounded in the life you’re living.
