Great to meet you!

I am a fun and down-to-earth person. When not working, you will find me outdoors enjoying the mountains and the water, enjoying deep conversations around campfires. I am trying to get the most out of life, and I get a lot out of the opportunity to share in the experiences of the individuals I work with. I work with both children and Adults. I have developed some revolutionary approaches to working with youth, especially with the increase in remote learning and therapy.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am intrigued by the stories that we are immersed in. Sorting through the stories to make sense of them, reviewing the stories of our past, and identifying if the stories we are trying to write about our futures are desirable and functional. I have an approach that melds aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Existential Therapy. I am very adaptable to what comes up and listen to where the wind should take us instead of where different theories should take us.

What you can expect from our first session

I am not interested in just being a soundboard. At a minimum, I will be a journal that talks back, but you will find that our time together is a two-way street where we are trying to understand the material being processed. You can trust that I will be engaged with you. If therapy is ever dull, then it means that we are missing each other and failing to have a meaningful conversation.
