Once a professional firefighter in the City of Flint Michigan, Michael worked countless hours serving those who were in some of the most desperate circumstances of life.
Michael successfully completed multiple degrees and certificate programs, eventually earning his Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University, and becoming a fully certified Critical Incident Stress Management Professional through CISM International.
My goal is always to meet my client where they are at in life. I work along side of them through out the course of treatment, celebrating goals, and providing strength and support when it feels like it is getting tough. I find the therapist / client relationship is the most important aspect to efficient and effective therapy practice and I strive to provide a supportive environment and the best quality care and support possible.
Each time you attend a session it will be my goal that you end the session feeling better than when you started. The goal of therapy is always to gain strength by building a tool box of coping mechanisms that you can use between appointments in order to continue the therapeutic process between the times we meet. I will remain dedicated to serving you until you feel you have accomplished the goals that you have set.
