Great to meet you!

My name is Michael. I am a husband, father, veteran, and Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated with Distinction with a Master of Arts degree from Liberty University. Having experience with a diverse population reflective of our community, I am comfortable and enjoy working with clients with a wide variety of mental health concerns. I am especially interested in helping those in less-served or marginalized groups, such as, LGBT, Vets, LEOs, etc.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is client-centered; focused on empowering people to make lasting changes in their lives. I employ a number of different modalities, such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-Centered, Strength-Based, and Solution-Focused brief approaches. My style varies on what is most appropriate for the client and the situation. Maintaining and re-enforcing the agency of the client and ensuring a safe environment is always a priority,

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be heard during our time together. I will spend the time required to fully understand the client's concerns. We will work collaboratively, and the client will always determine the treatment planning and direction we take.
