Great to meet you!

I earned my Bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland. Over the course of my career, I've had the privilege of working with traumatized adolescents and adults across both inpatient and outpatient settings, which has given me a deep appreciation for how differently trauma shows up at different stages of life — and for the resilience people bring to healing from it.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative — I see my role as helping clients move toward the goals they've set for themselves, at a pace that feels right for them. I draw on a range of approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, and mindfulness-based practices, tailoring the combination to fit each client's individual needs and story.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I hope to get a clear sense of what's bringing you in and what you're hoping to work toward. I'll also spend time gathering history — not to check boxes, but to understand the fuller context around your concerns, since that context often holds important clues about what will actually help. You can expect the session to feel more like a conversation than an intake form.
