Great to meet you!

I have been a certified School Psychologist for 16 years and a licensed professional counselor for 15 years. Over the course of my career, I've had the opportunity to work with people across many stages of life and in many different settings, which has shaped a deep appreciation for how uniquely each person experiences their challenges. I work with adults and children who are struggling with trauma, autism, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. My years in school-based work have given me a strong foundation in understanding how learning, behavior, and emotional well-being are interconnected — and that perspective informs the way I show up for every client, whether they're a young person trying to navigate the world for the first time or an adult working to make sense of long-standing patterns. Above all, I want my clients to feel that they're working with someone who genuinely sees them and is committed to their growth.

My approach to therapy

Relationship is important. I want people to feel comfortable confiding in me, because real therapeutic work depends on trust, safety, and the freedom to be honest about what's actually going on. Building that kind of connection is something I take seriously, and I try to create a space where my clients feel respected, accepted, and supported from the very first conversation. I am trained in several different trauma therapies, which allows me to draw from a range of evidence-based tools depending on what each client needs. I particularly like using narrative forms of CBT to help clients reframe their stories and alleviate the symptoms that have been weighing them down. I am also a certified hypnotherapist, and I find working with the subconscious fascinating — there's a powerful kind of healing that becomes possible when we can reach beyond the surface and address what's really driving someone's experience.

What you can expect from me

I always begin by listening to the client's needs and expectations. Before anything else, I want to understand what brought you in, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. From there, I move into psychoeducation, because I never want a session to end without a coping skill being taught. I believe that therapy should be practical as well as exploratory — that you should leave each conversation with something you can actually use in your daily life, not just a deeper understanding of the problem. I want every session to have solutions, no matter how small, so that the work we do together translates into real, tangible progress over time. You can expect a collaborative, structured, and supportive experience from the start.
