Great to meet you!

If you're feeling anxious, stuck, or overwhelmed by everything life is asking of you right now, I want you to know you don't have to sort it out alone. I'm Michele, a Licensed Professional Counselor and School Psychologist who has spent more than 30 years helping people of all ages — from young children to adults — work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and the everyday stress that builds until it feels like too much. I work with individuals and families navigating big life transitions, difficult relationships, grief, and the weight of caring for everyone but themselves. After 11 years supporting students with complex needs and a decade running my own outpatient behavioral health clinic, I've sat with people facing everything from everyday worry to serious mental health conditions. Whatever brought you here, my goal is simple: to help you feel understood, supported, and capable of moving forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical, warm, and grounded in more than three decades of clinical experience. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors — and to build concrete skills you can use between sessions, not just talk about in them. Early on, we'll complete a thorough assessment so I understand your history, your strengths, and what's getting in the way. From there, we set clear, realistic goals together and check in on your progress so you always know we're moving in the right direction. My background in special education and school psychology taught me to meet each person exactly where they are, adjusting how we work to fit your needs, pace, and the way you process. Sessions are collaborative and pressure-free — you bring what matters most, and we work through it as a team. I believe people are capable of real change when they feel genuinely heard and have the right tools to support them.

What you can expect from me

Over our time together, you can expect to feel more in control of your emotions and less ruled by anxiety, stress, or old patterns that have held you back. Many of my clients notice they're sleeping better, communicating more openly with the people they love, and setting boundaries that protect their energy. You'll leave sessions with practical tools you can actually use — ways to quiet racing thoughts, work through hard feelings, and respond instead of react. Most of all, I hope you begin to see yourself as resilient and capable of the change you're seeking. It doesn't happen overnight, but with steady effort and someone in your corner, a calmer, more confident life is within reach. When you're ready, I'd be honored to take that first step with you.
