Great to meet you!

I provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients can feel understood and empowered to work through life’s challenges. My approach blends evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with a compassionate and practical style. I believe therapy should be tailored to each person’s unique needs, and I work closely with clients to build coping strategies, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop resilience.

Clients often describe my style as empathetic, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I aim to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself while also challenged to grow. My strengths include helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I view therapy as a partnership and will support you with respect, encouragement, and practical tools to create meaningful, lasting change. I am also a proud United States Navy veteran.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and individualized. I believe that each client’s journey is unique, so I tailor treatment to their specific needs, strengths, and goals. I primarily use evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I also integrate mindfulness and solution-focused strategies to provide practical tools that clients can apply in daily life.

At the core of my approach is creating a safe and nonjudgmental environment, where clients feel understood and empowered to make lasting, meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your concerns, your goals, and any questions you may have about the process. I’ll also share more about my approach and how I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs. The first session is a chance for us to build a foundation of trust, set priorities together, and begin creating a plan that feels both supportive and practical for you. Most importantly, you can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and respected.
