Great to meet you!

A compassionate Mental Health Therapist with a strong background in providing support and guidance to individuals and families facing various challenges. My work integrates unconditional positive regard as well as pychodymanic insight with practice tools from CBT, ACT, and polyvagal theory while also utilizing somatic approaches that help each person reconnect to their body’s own wisdom.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, collaborative, and evidenced based. The initial consultation will focus on establishing rapport and created a safe space for you to discuss your main challenges you would like to address during therapy. During this initial session, I will utilize a series of background questions and assessments to better understand your needs and how I can best support you going forward. Towards the end of this session, I will discuss types of therapy and interventions that could help guide our sessions going forward. If you have any questions regarding types of frameworks, I will send a video or handout to help highlight these and will also send send handouts, videos, and other resources. It is important to note, this is always a collaboration where I am walking alongside you supporting you.

What you can expect from me

During our first session there are a few things that I want to emphasize to my clients. It is important you know our relationship is one of collaboration as well as self determination. We are walking alongside one another. In the first session, I will learn about you and your background including any challenges that impact your daily life including medical, psychological, grief and loss, big transitions and any other stressors you feel impact your mental and emotional health. I will also engage in a series of assessments to help better understand how these stressors are impacting you and your relationships. Towards the end of our session, I will discussed theoretical frameworks as well as interventions and begin to formulate some goals for our time together.
