Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing telehealth medication management for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive (OCD) symptoms, insomnia, bipolar spectrum disorders, and women's mental health concerns, including PMDD, perimenopause, and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders.

I enjoy helping adults better understand complex or overlapping mental health symptoms through thoughtful, comprehensive psychiatric evaluations. Anxiety, OCD, sleep disorders, hormonal changes, attention concerns, and mood disorders can share many of the same symptoms. My goal is to carefully identify the underlying causes and develop an individualized, evidence-based treatment plan rather than making quick assumptions.

Before scheduling, please note that I do not prescribe benzodiazepines (such as Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, or Valium), do not provide benzodiazepine taper management, and do not prescribe stimulant medications for individuals who use cannabis regularly or daily. I believe in being transparent about my prescribing approach so you can determine whether my practice is the right fit before booking an appointment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is thoughtful, evidence-based, and personalized. I believe effective psychiatric care starts with understanding the whole person—not just your symptoms. We'll explore how your mental health, medical history, sleep, lifestyle, stressors, and, when appropriate, hormonal changes may be contributing to how you're feeling.

Together, we'll develop a treatment plan that may include medication, brief psychotherapy, practical coping strategies, and lifestyle recommendations when appropriate. My goal is to help you feel better while ensuring you understand your diagnosis, treatment options, and the reasoning behind each recommendation. I believe lasting improvement comes from combining evidence-based medication management with practical coping skills and healthy lifestyle habits, because medication is only one part of treatment.

What you can expect from me

During your first appointment, we'll complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and review your symptoms, mental health and medical history, current medications, previous treatment experiences, sleep, lifestyle factors, and personal goals.

Rather than focusing on a single diagnosis, we'll look at how your symptoms fit together. Difficulties with attention, concentration, mood, anxiety, sleep, obsessive thoughts, and hormonal changes can overlap, so my goal is to understand the whole picture before making treatment recommendations.

We'll discuss evidence-based treatment options and develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard and with a clear understanding of your diagnosis, treatment options, and next steps.
