Great to meet you!

The importance of mental health in the lives of children and adults is critical especially in the face of today’s challenges. From a young age I developed a passion for helping others that I am now blessed to call a career.

Our youth are coping with academic pressures, peer influences, and bullying. Young adults are faced with life decisions as they navigate the journey toward independence. Couples may struggle to communicate in a language both people understand.

My approach to therapy

My treatment modality is based on a CBT approach that incorporates both the daily changes we need to make to minimize distress, as well as minimizing the “inner voice” that sometimes highlights our greatest fears. I also utilize treatment methods that help you to recognize emotional distress without feeling lost in the process. Treatment is collaborative during which time we are in constant communication about your goals and progress.

What you can expect from me

Warmth, guidance, and the feeling that you are no longer alone on your journey to help yourself or your family. I promise to provide an environment in where you feel heard, understood, and accepted regardless of any challenges you are experiencing. Each session will leave you with things to contemplate, techniques to practice, and the encouragement and support to do so.
