Great to meet you!

My approach

My style is collaborative, directive, constructive, compassionate, and warm. I have a deep respect for the human condition and am comfortable with the pain that sometimes results from life.

My approach to therapy

Welcome. Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health. Hello, my name is Michelle Kennedy and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with Couples, and Adults in individual therapy. I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Parent-Child Interaction therapy, and am a Level 1 Gottman trained couples therapist. I have worked in a wide variety of settings including private practice, outpatient mental health, schools, and non-profit agencies. I am adept at behavioral treatment planning, coordinating care, and goal setting aimed at symptoms reduction. Lastly, I love and am passionate about what I do and it would be an honor to work for you. Please do not wait one more day.

What you can expect from me

Our first task will be to ensure we are a good fit, establish a relationship that honors who you are, and provide you with a trusted, non-judgmental place to explore how you got to a place of emotional pain. The first session is what is called an Intake appointment, where I will ask you about different areas of your life, the symptoms you are experiencing, and the goals you have for therapy. If you are done struggling with negative patterns, high conflict, and grief and are ready to move toward the rewarding parts of being together as a couple, contact me today, and we'll start your journey together!
