Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan. My approach is collaborative and strengths based. Therapy gives you room to uncover the talents and inner resources that already live within you, identify barriers, and learn new approaches. I think of my role as a guide offering another perspective. As a practicing professional, my background includes counseling with adults and families, crisis intervention, and ten years as a high school counselor. I’ve worked with clients navigating depression, anxiety, relationship dynamics, career development, and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

Many of us underestimate the skills and strengths they possess. I believe empowering and highlighting skills you already have helps to create the foundation for new coping strategies. Life can be challenging, and my approach is grounded in partnering with clients to uncover unhelpful thought patterns, build self-awareness, and develop practical tools to create lasting, positive change.

What you can expect from me

For many people, the idea of a first session is intimidating. I would like to ease that as much as possible by helping you feel heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead. In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and get an idea of what you’d like to accomplish. I’ll ask some questions to get an understanding of your history and background, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. I’ll also answer any questions you have of me. Then we’ll work together to create goals based on what matters to you most. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule a follow-up session and continue building a path forward that supports your well-being.
