Great to meet you!
I completed my undergraduate education in Political Science from the University of Florida and then pursued a Master of Public Administration from Florida State University. After working for a year as an intern for the Florida Legislature as a policy analyst, I took time off from my career to be a full-time mom and military spouse. I became more interested in mental health after taking a trauma informed course for military spouses to help other military families when their service member was either injured or killed during deployments. I completed an Education Specialist degree in Counseling Education, Specializing in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of South Carolina. I hold a LPC in SC and a LCMHC in NC.
I worked for 8 years for the State of South Carolina as an adult counselor in Community Mental Health. I have extensive experience working with patients exhibiting Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Personality Disorders.
