Great to meet you!

I graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas and have been working in the mental health field since 2018.

I completed my internship experiences at the Chaplain Family Life Training Center in Fort Hood, TX, and the Community Life Counseling Center in Belton, TX, from 2016-2018.

I have experience working in residential treatment, and a group practice setting in Asheville, NC before deciding to open Auden Counseling. I am licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors.

My approach to therapy

Auden Counseling is built on the premise that you do not have to sit in things alone. I offer an open space to explore, identify, and shift things in your life. I help people gain insight, create change for themselves, build healthier relationships, and develop greater confidence, clarity, and self-respect. Together, we’ll explore what’s beneath the surface and work toward meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to offer a compassionate, grounded space where you feel supported as you navigate healing and growth.

What you can expect from me

Taking that first step is difficult, whether you’ve been to counseling before or it’s your first time. Knowing what to expect can certainly make it easier. Here’s a step-by-step guide on what to expect and how to get started.

STEP 1: You can reach out to Auden Counseling via phone or email. Leave a brief message telling me a little bit about yourself, such as contact information, what brings you to counseling, and if you’re feeling extra fancy you can tell me what kind of insurance you have (or if you’d like to self-pay).

STEP 2: You’ll receive a call from me. Together we will schedule a time for a free 15-min consultation. This gives you the opportunity to ask me any questions that you may have, and gives me the opportunity to get to know a little more about you.

STEP 3: If you decide that you’d like to work with me after our initial consultation, just let me know. You’ll receive an email from me, where you’ll be able to complete initial paperwork and payment information. You’ll also be able to set up online portal access. This portal will allow you to view and request appointments, receive reminders, communicate with me, and access billing information. If you decide you’d like to see me virtually, the portal also offers access to our virtual sessions. It should be noted, however, that I offer both in-person and virtual sessions.

STEP 4: Once all paperwork is completed, we’ll schedule our first official appointment together and you’ll start your journey towards wellness.
