Great to meet you!

Welcome! Finding the right therapist can feel like a daunting task, so here is a quick look at what you can expect when working with me:

  • A Warm, Inclusive, & LGBTQ+ Affirming Space: First and foremost, you belong here. Whether you are navigating identity, life transitions, relationships, or personal growth, I offer a genuinely welcoming environment where every part of who you are is seen, valued, and respected.
  • Warmth Meets Real Engagement: Therapy with me isn't about sitting in rigid silence while you do all the heavy lifting. I bring a warm, supportive, and active presence to every session. We’ll talk, collaborate, and tackle things together with warmth, empathy, and plenty of genuine human connection.
  • Support Tailored to You: My goal is to build a strong, trusting partnership where you feel safe enough to be vulnerable and empowered enough to grow. We'll move at your pace, focusing on your goals, your strengths, and what authentic healing looks like for you.

You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone—I'm here to walk through them with you.

My approach to therapy

Therapy works best when it’s a collaborative partnership, not a one-sided lecture. My practice combines compassionate talk therapy with practical, evidence-based tools—like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—to help you understand your patterns, reframe stuck thoughts, and build actionable strategies for real-life change.

While we’ll dive into the deeper work, we'll do it in a way that feels grounded, warm, and genuinely engaging. I bring an active, conversational style to our sessions, meaning we’ll explore what’s on your mind together, tackle challenges as a team, and celebrate your growth every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

What to Expect in Your First Session

Starting therapy is a big step, and the first session is designed to be as comfortable and low-pressure as possible. Here is a quick look at what our first 50 minutes will look like:

  • Introductions & Getting Settled: We’ll start by breaking the ice, reviewing basic housekeeping (like privacy and policies), and answering any immediate questions you have so you feel completely at ease.
  • Getting to Know You: This is your space to share what brings you to therapy, what you’re currently navigating, and what you hope to get out of our time together—at whatever pace feels comfortable for you.
  • Finding the Right Fit: The therapeutic relationship is everything. Our first session is a two-way street to explore how we work together, ensure my approach aligns with your needs, and see if we feel like a great team.

No pop quizzes, no pressure—just a real, open conversation to help us figure out the best path forward for you.
