Having a deep respect for the inherent strength of resilience, I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma caused by: medical, relational, childhood. infidelity, divorce/separation, community violence, accidents/natural disasters, loss/grief, and narcissism--to name a few. Throughout my career, I have not only provided clinical services to individual clients, but have also served as a Trauma Consultant for several educational systems that were directly impacted by school-based violence resulting in the tragic loss of life. I provided trauma-informed crisis interventions to facilitate the healing process for the parents, children, and school personnel who were deeply affected by these radical expressions of violence which significantly challenged the sense of safety to self, home, and community.
I also have extensive training and experience in the realm of healing via non-ordinary states of consciousness. Many of my clients are individuals who have not had space adequately held and/or the powerful and often ego-dissolving experience was not adequately integrated, leaving them with a disconnected, fragmented, and oftentimes, incredibly anxious and uprooted sense of Self.
Lastly, as a Maryland board-approved supervisor for social workers and counselors, I provide the much needed mentorship and guidance to those individuals entering this incredibly challenging and incredibly rewarding line of work. It is an area in which I am deeply committed in order to do my part to shape the next generations of practitioners.
